Cancellation & Refund Policy

Our Commitment

At Sushma Makeup Artist, we understand that wedding dates, functions and special occasions can sometimes change due to unforeseen circumstances.

Because makeup appointments require advance planning, preparation, product arrangements, travel arrangements and reservation of the artist's time, cancellations and changes are handled according to the policy below.

1. Cancellation by the Client

If you need to cancel your appointment or event booking, please inform us as soon as possible.

Cancellation Before the Event

• Cancellation requests should be communicated through the contact details used for the booking.
• Refund eligibility, if applicable, depends on the cancellation date, booking status and any commitments already made for the event.
• Amounts already spent or committed toward travel, accommodation, special arrangements, products or other third-party services may not be refundable.
• Last-minute cancellations may not qualify for a refund because the appointment time may no longer be available for another client.

2. Booking Amount & Advance Payment

For certain appointments and event bookings, an advance or booking amount may be required to reserve the date and time.

• The applicable booking amount will be communicated to the client before confirmation.
• Once a date has been reserved specifically for a client, the booking amount may be treated as a reservation commitment.
• The booking amount may therefore be non-refundable where the cancellation results in the loss of the reserved appointment or event date.
• Any exceptional refund or adjustment will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

3. Date Change / Rescheduling

We understand that wedding and event dates can sometimes change. Clients may contact us to request a change of date.

• Rescheduling is subject to availability on the requested new date.
• A date change does not automatically guarantee availability.
• If the new date is available, the existing booking may be transferred subject to confirmation by Sushma Makeup Artist.
• If the new date is unavailable, the booking may be treated as a cancellation under the applicable cancellation terms.
• Any additional travel, venue or service-related charges resulting from a rescheduled booking will be communicated separately.

4. Changes to Services

If you wish to change the services included in your booking, please contact us in advance.

Depending on availability and the nature of the requested change, services may be added, removed or modified.

• Adding services may result in an additional charge.
• Reducing or removing services does not automatically guarantee a refund or reduction of an already confirmed booking amount.
• Changes requested on the event day may not always be possible.

5. Late Arrival by Client

Clients are requested to be ready at the agreed appointment time, particularly for weddings and events where makeup must be completed before a scheduled function.

Delays caused by the client may reduce the available makeup time. Where possible, we will make reasonable efforts to complete the agreed service, but the original service duration cannot always be extended.

A refund will generally not be provided for services affected by client-caused delays.

6. Cancellation by Sushma Makeup Artist

Although we make every reasonable effort to honor confirmed appointments, unexpected circumstances may occasionally prevent us from providing a service.

If Sushma Makeup Artist is required to cancel a confirmed booking, we will communicate with the client as soon as reasonably possible.

Where an applicable advance payment has been received and the booking cannot be fulfilled by us, the refund or alternative arrangement will be discussed with the client based on the circumstances.

Where reasonably possible, we may also assist the client in identifying an alternative arrangement, subject to availability.

7. On-Location Bookings

Sushma Makeup Artist provides on-location services in Varanasi and nearby cities. For such bookings, additional planning may be required for travel and event logistics.

If an on-location booking is cancelled or rescheduled, any non-refundable travel or third-party expenses already incurred may be deducted from any amount otherwise eligible for refund.

8. Refund Processing

Where a refund is approved, the client will be informed about the applicable refund amount and process.

• Refunds will normally be processed using the payment method or method agreed with the client.
• Processing time may vary depending on the payment provider or banking channel.
• Any transaction, payment-gateway or third-party charges that cannot be recovered may be excluded from the refundable amount.

9. No-Show Policy

If a client does not appear for a confirmed appointment and does not provide prior notice, the booking may be considered a no-show.

No-show appointments may not be eligible for a refund because the reserved time was specifically held for the client.

10. Exceptional Circumstances

We understand that serious or unexpected circumstances can occur. Requests involving exceptional situations may be reviewed individually.

Any refund, adjustment, rescheduling or alternative arrangement in such circumstances will depend on the specific situation, availability and expenses already incurred.
